World Future Cities Summit is a thought-leadership-driven, business-focused, global series of events that take place in strategic locations across the world.
As part of the world tour, the inaugural edition in Egypt is gathering key government delegates, policymakers, pre-qualified CIOs, CTOs, Heads of Innovation, Heads of Digital Transformation and Experts in emerging tech and smart cities among others from cross-industry verticals across Egypt.
The summit features exciting keynotes, government and enterprise use-case presentations, product showcases, panel discussions and tech talks to discuss and explore latest strategies and solutions to ease citizens’ life and delivering good governance.
In light of the health safety recommendations by governments across the world, World AI Show - KL will be hosted for CIOs, Heads of AI and global experts as a virtual online event, in lieu of an in-person event. We look forward to bringing together our ecosystem of tech leaders in this new virtual format to learn, connect and collaborate together. Stay tuned for more details to come.
The global smart cities market size is expected to grow from USD 410.8 billion in 2020 to USD 820.7 billion by 2025, at a CAGR of 14.8 per cent.
In line with the Egypt Vision 2030, the Egyptian Government has announced New Administrative Capital (NAC), a large-scale project of a new capital city for economic and social upliftment.
NAC is a 'Smart City', and the government is investing profoundly in its telecommunication and ICT infrastructure amenities. Under the NAC plan, they are planning to build a 'Knowledge City', which will be an applied research centre for technology to facilitate technical training, software and applications development, and data design. The Knowledge City is estimated to cost a total of 12 billion Egyptian Pounds (USD 750 million).
The Egyptian MICT is also finishing six technology parks in the cities of Minya, Menoufiya, Mansoura, Sohag, Qena and Aswan. These parks are aimed at supporting entrepreneurship and innovation and will consist of hardware design labs, startup incubators and training institutions and integrated systems for AI, Data Science, and Cyber Security.

Amazing Summit & really impressive line-up of vendors & relevant content specifically to the current cyber threat landscape in Middle East. Kudos to Trescon for all your diligence & focused execution.
I feel compelled to share with you the awesome experience; prior to, during the event and afterwards. From start to finish, the Trescon team acted with superb professionalism and enthusiasm, and their approach to Business Development was quite refreshing given the current pandemic and associated constraints. The delivery platform itself is of outstanding quality.
We participated in #WAISQatar 2020. The team did a nice job and the event had a good audience.
