Cybercriminals will recognize the work that Qatar has done to be prepared for the tournament and will focus on exploiting human nature before arrival, rather than digital infrastructure.
Few hackers can run through DDOS attacks on a large scale to disrupt enterprises that extensively rely on the internet. According to some reports, the Qatar government believes online crime syndicates could target unsuspecting FIFA fans with more than 400 fraud scams before the World Cup’s opening ceremony.
Industry experts recommend a multi-layered approach to protect all fronts and prevent users from accessing malicious domains.
